Artist Bio
The roots of Chad's award winning artistic background stem from a life time spent in the Rocky Mountains and the Colorado Plateau as well as his degree in Fine Art from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT in 2000. Passionately involved in the arts for his entire life, Chad sifted through many styles and mediums before establishing sculpture as his favored direction. His connection with the natural world and human's involvement within and around it provide the main reasons for choosing wood as his primary medium. By hand selecting the wood directly from the lands of the Rocky Mountains and the Colorado Plateau, he creates an extra element to his work with a direct and tangible connection to the land. Sculpting full time since 2002, Chad has produced multiple high profile works throughout the four corners states. He also has hundreds of one of a kind sculptures in collections throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Today, Chad and his wife Jennifer are inspired everyday by their oasis on the river.
